암호학은 현재 네트워크를 통해 이루어지는 모든 사이버 거래와 통신 지원하는 기초 기술이다. 현재 금융거래와 전자정부 증명서 발급에서 사용하고 있는 인증서 역시 암호학에 근거하고 있으며, 인터넷 전자 상거래 역시 암호 기술에 바탕을 두고 있다. 이 과목에서는 전통적인 암호 기술과 디지털 기술로 구현된 대칭키 알고리즘, 비대칭키 알고리즘, 전자서명과 같은 기본적인 암호 기술에 대해 소개한다. 이러한 기본적인 기술 위에 구축된 전자 상거래, PKI, e-mail, VPN, SSO에 대해 설명한다.
교과목해설(영문)
Cryptography is a basic building block of various cyber transaction systems and network communication which are conducted in the network (on-line network or mobile network). Not only e-certificates which support many kinds of banking transactions and e-government certificate printing, but also internet transaction itself are based on the cryptography technology. In this course, introduced are basic technologies of cryptography, such as traditional cryptography technologies implemented in analog form, and symmetric key algorithms, public key algorithms, and digital signature which are implemented in digital form. In addition, introduced are security systems which are implemented on top of those basic mechanisms, such as e-business transaction system, PKI system, e-mail, VPN, and SSO.
